Product Description
The skill of inferencing, using information to draw a logical conclusion, is a higher-level thinking skill that is sometimes difficult for young students to master but very important to reading comprehension. The high-interest lessons in this book aresupplemented with a variety of activities to make learning the skill of inferencing fun. The exercises increase in difficulty as the book progresses, so the students practice more advanced skills as they work through the book. With a variety of fun and instructional formats, teachers can provide direct instruction, reinforcement, or independent practice throughout the year.

The exercises in this workbook are OK, but the pages are arranged in such a way that many of the exercises are rendered unusable if the pages are completed in order. There are many exercises that require cutting the page into pieces, which makes it impossible to do the next exercise on the BACK of the page. In these instances, children must be instructed to perform the second page first, which in my opinion requires too much diligence and supervision, or pages must be torn out and given to the child in a corrected order.
